Worm Lizard
Worm Lizard, common name for wormlike reptiles that belong to the same order as lizards and snakes. This usually limbless reptile lacks external ears and has reduced eyes, a compact skull, and skin with rings of scales. Worm lizards are found in tropical areas throughout the world, usually in underground burrows, where they feed on insects and worms. One species occurs in Florida.
